Military Reporters and Editors (MRE) is pleased to see the New York Times file a lawsuit against the Defense Department over its draconian media restrictions that forced credentialed Pentagon reporters out of the building. As the lawsuit makes clear, the Defense Department’s attack on the First Amendment is harming the American public, which deserves accurate information about its taxpayer-funded military.
