Military Reporters & Editors invites journalists, military, academics, and industry professionals to attend
Washington, D.C. — Military Reporters & Editors (MRE), the nation’s leading organization dedicated to advancing excellence in military, defense, and national security journalism, is proud to announce that Her Excellency Olga Stefanishyna, the newly appointed Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States, will serve as a keynote speaker at the 2025 MRE Annual Conference Nov. 7 in Washington, D.C.

Ambassador Stefanishyna, who assumed her diplomatic post in August 2025, brings to her role a record of leadership at the highest levels of the Ukrainian government. Prior to her appointment, she served as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice of Ukraine. A steadfast defender of Ukraine’s sovereignty and democratic aspirations, Stefanishyna was also a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
During her tenure as Chair of the Commission on Coordination of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic Integration, she played a pivotal role in advancing Ukraine’s European Union accession process, leading the country’s diplomatic and legislative efforts following Kyiv’s historic application for EU membership in 2022.
Her keynote address at the MRE conference will provide journalists, policy experts, and national security professionals with a firsthand perspective on Ukraine’s ongoing defense, reconstruction, and transatlantic integration efforts, as well as insights into the evolving dynamics of U.S.–Ukraine relations.
