Save the Date!
Air Force Gen. John E. Hyten, commander of U.S. Strategic Command, will kick off Military, Reporters and Editors’ 2017 conference at 9 a.m., March 31. Hyten, who has led the command since November 2016 and previously served as the head of Air Force Space Command, will speak about the Defense Department’s efforts to modernization the nuclear triad.
The conference, which will include a mix of news maker and professional development seminars, will be held at the Politico building, 1000 Wilson Blvd, Arlington Va. Conference attendees are invited to attend a happy hour event, sponsored by Medill’s National Security Journalism Initiative, at Politico immediately following the conference.
