Rebecca Christie covered the Pentagon and defense industry for Dow Jones Newswires until August 2007. She launched the beat in July 2004, after nearly four years covering the Treasury, Federal Reserve, banking regulation and the economy. Prior to joining Dow Jones, she spent six months at the Financial Times' Washington bureau, interned at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and worked for three years at daily newspapers in Bend, Ore., and Martinsburg, WV. She graduated from Duke University and has a master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
