To assist reporters in Iraq and Afghanistan or bound for those regions, along with editors in home offices, MRE has received permission to post security reports issued by Centurion Risk Assessment and AKE, two U.K.-based firms used by many media organizations for assistance in providing security and training for hostile regions. The reports, which are updated periodically, are based on information from Centurion and AKE security employees and clients based in Iraq and Afghanistan. Inclusion of these reports on the MRE website is NOT an endorsement or solicitation of Centurion or AKE and is included only for informational purposes and with NO warranty or guarantee. In other words, reader beware. As with all hostile environments, journalists should be cautious, informed and, most importantly, watch their back and keep their heads down.

MRE will post any and all reports concerning working and security conditions in war zones and other hostile environments without bias or endorsement. Just send them to the webmaster and we'll post them as soon as we get permission from the report's author or publisher.
